HEC Marbella is the Global Academic Partner of the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) for Spain.

 

AHLEI was founded in 1953 to provide working hospitality professional with educatin and training. AHLEI continues to meet the needs of the industry with a variety of hospitality solutions, including online learning, professional certification, and resources for high schools, colleges, and workforce agencies.

 

Serving the hospitality industry for more than a century, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) is the sole national association representing all the segments of the 1.8 million-employee U.S. lodging industry, including hotel owners, REIT´s, chains, franchisees, management companies, independent properties, state hotel associations, and industry suppliers. headquarterd in Washington, D.C., AH&LA provides focused advocacy, communications support, and educational resources for an industry generating $155.5 billion in annual sales from 4.9 million guestrooms.

 

The European Association of Hotel and Tourism Schools, Association Européenne des Écoles d´Hôtèlerie et de Tourisme (AEHT) is an International Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) enjoying consultative status with the Council of Europe.

 

The Association was created in 1988 at the initiative of Jean-Paul Bernard and Martin Bruder, Head and Deputy Head respectively of the Strasbourg-Illkirch Hotel and Tourism School with the prime objective to promote a European outlook among Hotel and Tourism Schools. Over the years it has grown considerably, and now has a memebership of around 430 (professors, head of studies, schools and students), with an AEHT national representative in 44 European countries. 

 

The World Association for Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training, Association Mondiale pour la Formation Hôtelière et Touristique (AMFORHT) aims to study and promote, internationally, the development of vocational training in the tourism sector at large (including hotels, restaurants, transportation, recreation) to better match training to new conditions in the workplace.

 

Created in 1969 from an initiative of the World Tourism Organization (UNTWO), the AMFORHT is synonym of quality in tourism education, promoting the development of education and vocational training in the hospitality industry, and taking into account the evolution of tourism and science education. 

The Spanish Confederation of Educational Centers, Confederación Española de Centros de Enseñanza (CECE) is a non-profit organization founded in 1977 which represents the private educational sector in Spain at university and non university level.

 

On an international level, CECE is integrated into the International Organisation for the Right to Education (OIDEL), the European School Heads Association (ESHA), the European Forum of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (EFVET) and the European Council of National Associations of Independent Schools (ECNAIS).

 

On a corporate level, the CECE integrate the Spanish Association of Tourism Schools, Asociación Española de Escuelas de Turismo (ANESTUR). 

 

In Partnership with BBI LUX, HEC Marbella offers a 3-year Bachelor and a 2-year Master programs. Both degrees are recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg. This implies that the programs are accredited and meets the quality standards required by the “Special Committee for Accreditation”, an official body supervising Higher Education Institutions (State official regulation of 27.04.2011).
